The following options courses are available to students in Grade 7 during Term 2 of the 2023-2024 school year. Read through the course descriptions, then use the Grade 7 Option Registration Form to choose the courses you'd like to register for.

Foods (Schaber)

Students will learn the necessary techniques needed to be a junior cooking expert! This challenge will allow them to explore their inner foodies as they create delicious snacks and desserts. Students will be introduced to a wide variety of ingredients to enhance their palettes.

IA (Huedepohl)

Students will build a birdhouse and other projects to be determined. Various skills will be learned to complete these projects.

Film Study (Bock)

In Film Study, students will be introduced to various films that depict leaders in a variety of situations. Students will be ready to discuss, critique, and debate orally and in written response the aspects of the films. Students will conclude the course with a final project that will involve research of a leader and may use multiple forms of media connecting content of the course with their research.

Introduction to Coding(Vanden Pol)

This course introduces students to coding through the use of Turtle Academy and Tynker. Students will learn the basics of how to code and use block coding in order to make some simple animations and games.

Art (Refugia)

In this course, you will play with form and explore more complex art procedures using various media.

French (Davis)

Have some fun while learning French.  Daily games and activities will build new language skills. Our class will participate once again in Manie Musicale with students from all over the world so that we can learn French with the best new francophone music videos that are being released. We will also celebrate several French holidays and explore French Food Fridays, because everyone knows that food is a pretty big deal in France!
