Permission Forms
Leaving the School Grounds During Noon Hour
Students are expected to remain on school grounds between 8:35am and 3:10pm, including the noon hour. This expectation is supported by provincial guidelines and PSD Administrative Procedure 310, which indicates students are the responsibility of the principal and school staff during school hours, and 15 minutes before and after. In the case of bus students, the procedure applies between the students' time of arrival and departure on the bus.
The only exception to this requires the student's parent/guardian to give written notification to the school stating the student is allowed to go home.
Student Off-Site Activities
We offer a wide variety of learning opportunities for our students off the school site. These curriculum-based activities provide learning opportunities which extend beyond the classroom to a variety of facilities in the Spruce Grove Community. The permission of our students’ parents or guardians is required for each student to participate in such activities.
Request to Administer Medication
School staff cannot administer any medication to any student except in compliance with Parkland School Division Administrative Procedure 782: Medical - Administering Prescribed Medications.
Before Prescription Medication is Administered
The Individual Care Plan form must be completed by the parent or guardian (see page 16 of the form). The school reserves the right to refuse to administer medication. The form is available from the school office. The medication must come to school with a parent in a container labelled by the pharmacy and is to be stored in a locked cupboard in the school office.
