It's back! The Woodhaven Talent Show will happen on Thursday, March 27th but it's audition time now. Audition sheets are in the plaza in front of the office this week. If you want to showcase your talent, add your name to an audition date and time.
There will be a Drama Club meeting regarding our end of play celebration in Mrs. MC’s room at morning recess.
Congratulations to our senior basketball teams for successfully hosting the Woodhaven Hoops Classic tournament this past weekend. Our senior boys team took home the silver medal on the boys side of the draw and our senior girls won gold on the girls side of things. What a great weekend of basketball! Up next for both senior teams is their league playoffs!
Good luck to our Junior A boys basketball team as they travel to play the semifinal tonight vs Prescott at Prescott. The game will be starting at 3:45pm.
Did you know that big emotions can cause you to flip your lid? These don’t have to be the typical “difficult” emotions we often think about, like anger, fear, or sadness. Feeling extremely happy or excited can also cause us to flip our lid too.
Just a reminder to all Ski and Snowboard members. Collect all of your equipment immediately at the end of the day and bring it, along with your school stuff to the Foods Lab. The sooner we get organized, the sooner we get to the hill.
Boxes of Cereal are in and counted! Here are the final counts
Denali collected 29 boxes
Kitchi collected 52 boxes
And Nashoba collected 54 boxes for a total of 135 boxes of cereal for the Food Bank. That’s over a thousand breakfasts worth of cereal!
And a special congratulations to 7FC for collecting the most boxes at 23!
Choir rehearsal this week! Wednesday and Thursday at lunch in the music room! This week, we are celebrating Pink Shirt Day! It all started with two students in Canada who stood up for a classmate being bullied for wearing pink. Now, it’s a global movement to promote kindness and inclusion. Remember to wear your pink shirt on Wednesday. Let’s start the day with a simple challenge - say something kind to five different people! Teachers - students will be coming around today to drop off your Random Acts of Kindness Cards. Remember Woodhaven, “a warm smile is the universal language of kindness”.
