Monday September 11

Have you heard of a GSA? It stands for Gender and Sexuality Alliance. This is a club that our school offers, and is open to any students in grade 5-9 to join. We will be meeting every Wednesday during the first half/recess portion of lunch in Mrs. Glegloff’s room (149). This club offers a safe, welcoming and accepting space for all youth, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Come join us on Wednesday in Mrs. Glegloff’s room during the first half of lunch!

Volleyball tryouts continue today after school. All 4 of our school teams …Senior boys & girls and Junior A boys & girls all have a tryout after school 3:15-4:30pm.

Cross country runners!  Next practice is Wednesday before school at 7:30.  Our first race is Thursday after school at Blueberry.  If you want to join the team, but missed getting registration info, please see Mr. Bock or Mr. Rink today!!!

Today is that kick off to Wolfpack Week and we are celebrating being a Part of the Pack. Every staff member and student here at Woodhaven will receive a paw print to decorate and post on the banner outside of the library. Although we are in different dens, competing for the Term 1 trophy - are all all part of the same pack.

A points update! Before students were welcomed back to school, our staff participated in the first competition of the year! Woodhaven staff members were separated into their dens and placed in separate classrooms to complete an escape room! And here are the results. COming in 3rd place with a time of 20mins was Denali. 2nd place with a time of 18 mins was Nashoba, which means that Kitchi was the winning den with a time of 16 mins! Only 4 minutes separated the 3 dens! So Kitchi is currently in the lead with 100 points, followed by Nashoba with 50, and Denali with 25. There is still plenty of competition happening this week! Let;s see if Kitchi can keep their lead or if Nashoba and Denali can overtake them for the Term 1 trophy!
