Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! Spring League Basketball is back! Attention grade 5 & 6 students…we are offering our Spring Basketball League once again. All parents have been emailed the registration link. If you are interested, please talk with your parents to get you registered! Senior Badminton tryouts continue today after school. Tonight is the PCAA Basketball All-Star Game…..that is the all-star game for our school basketball league. Woodhaven is very lucky that we have 3 student-athletes that have been selected to participate in the game. From the senior boys basketball team we have Tyler Shelton. From the senior girls basketball team we have Sophia Osbak and Leanne Saligue. The all-star game is taking place at 5:30pm at Memorial High School in Stony Plain. Athletes of the Month - With the craziness of February & March… and basketball playoffs going on, we did not name our February and March Athletes of the Month yet…but here they are.. Congratulations to the following student-athletes who have been named the Athlete of the Month. Please see Mr. McLachlan during morning break to pick-up your prize… February - Luke O, Ben U, Kiara W, and Isabel S March - Chenise L, Savannah E, Brady W, and Kingston H Amazing job representing our school! The Woodhaven Middle School Parents Association (WMSPA) is pleased to announce the launch of its logo design contest. Our association would like to have interested Woodhaven students participate in the creation of a unique logo that would go on our Facebook page and other social media platforms and communications. The contest will run from Wednesday, March 16th to Monday, April 4th and a winner will be chosen from all the submitted entries by the Executive of the Parents Association. The winner, who will be announced on April 8th, will have their choice of a $50 prepaid gift card. Last Call. If you have a lock on the old racks please remove them or you will lose them (2X) 2nd bus for Marmot - If any of you have your paperwork for the possible 2nd bus to Marmot, make sure to get them into Mrs. Schaber ASAP. The more we get in, the sooner we will know if the 2nd bus is a go or not. A reminder to the cast of Shake Rattle ‘N Roll that we have rehearsal today after school until 4:30. |
