Happy birthday Ms Golinowski Great news, we are starting Complementary/Option Courses today. Yahoo.. Today Woodhaven’s Cross-Country Team will be competing in their next race at Blueberry School. Good luck to all our students who will be running! Runners, don’t forget to wear your new X Country Team shirts to show off some Wolfpack pride! And please remind your parents or drivers that the race is being held at Blueberry school and not Chickakoo as previously scheduled. Congrats to the Junior A girls volleyball team who won their first game of the season last night, taking Copperhaven in two sets. Way to go, Pack! Senior Boys, Girls and Junior A Girls are reminded they have practice tonight after school! Thursday Sept. 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Today we would ask that you take a second to consider: Think about the lunch that you brought to schools today. Are you looking forward to eating it? The average lunch and dinner served in residential schools consisted of porridge or lettuce and onion soup. Sometimes children were served a 4 by 4 inch cube of beef. And it was usually frozen solid Please take a second, and remember, every child matters. Our school Terry Fox run is Friday Oct. 1st. Have you started your training for the run? Have you considered bringing in a “Toonie for Terry” Have you looked at the online donation options? This fantastic event is celebrated all over our great country. If we all do our small part to help raise awareness and funds for cancer research, we are all one step closer to conquering cancer! |
