A reminder to all X-country runners that there is a practice tomorrow morning at 7:45.

Cross country meeting today, first lunch, on front steps to get your shirts!

Good luck to our senior volleyball teams as they play their first league games of the year. Sr Girls take on Graminia. Sr Boys play Muir Lake. Both of these games are taking place in the large gym after school. Go Wolfpack!

Junior B volleyball players (boys & girls) are reminded they have practice tomorrow after school….that’s Junior B volleyball Wednesday after school 3:15-4:30pm.

Our school Terry Fox Run is happening on Friday Oct. 1st. This event will take place in each class's PE block on that day. The goal of the event is to raise awareness and some funds for cancer research. All students are highly encouraged to bring in a “Toonie for Terry” ...or you can also donate online. There are donation options on your PowerSchool account.

The results from the Student Vote are in! Across the country, 740,515 votes were reported from 5,478 schools. Students elected a Liberal Minority government and the NDP formed the official opposition. Here at Woodhaven, we had 327 students vote. 47% of students at Woodhaven voted for the Conservative Party. Thank you to all the students who participated in our Student Vote!

And on that note, a bit of WolfPack Wellness to acknowledge the hard work Mrs. Glegloff put in to give all students the opportunity to vote yesterday.   It was a big job.   Thanks from all of us.  A special mention to Mrs. Harland for opening up the new learning commons as a space for us to vote.

Thursday Sept. 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.   Today we would ask that you take a second to consider:

What Traditions do you practice?

Are you religious?

Imagine if suddenly you were told you couldn’t practice those traditions and religion anymore.

Residential school students were prohibited from practicing their traditions and religion...take a second, and remember, every child matters
